1911 Sig Mag Question ???

Hey guys, I picked up a Sig Nightmare Carry and really love the look of the gun. The only thing I don't visually care for is the magazine, namely the way it sticks out. To me, it just doesn't look "clean". I'd prefer a flush bottom. With that said, I came across the following article about this gun and the user prefers the 7 RD Wilson Combat mags as they sit flush and do not stick out. I know, I'm losing 1 RD, 8 vs 7, but I'm ok with that. The only issue is, in the article, he doesn't state the Wilson Combat model number. Here's the link to the article with pictures:

Here's a Gunbroker listing for some Wilson Combat stainless 1911 45 mags that look correct, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know if these will fit / work in my 1911 Nightmare Carry ??? If not, can anyone point me in the right direction for some flush fitting mags ??? Here's the GB listing:

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes their time to help me. I really appreciate it !!!

That one won't work. That's for an officer frame which has the shorter grip like the Ultra. You need standard length mags.

I like Wilson mags but for flush fitting ones I use the 7 round Colt mags. I find those very reliable.

Twist, thank you very, very, much !!!!! I am so glad I waited for a response prior to pulling the trigger and ordering the wrong mags. I'm going to look for the Colt mags you mentioned. Can I buy any Colt 1911 7 RD mags or is there a specific Colt 7 RD mag I'll need ??? Thanks again for your help.

Midway has them in stock $21.99

Search midway for colt 1911 magazines. Then choose 7 round, blue.
Stay away from the Colt 8 round mags. When I end up with the 8 round mags I replace the spring and follower with the Wilson 7 round spring and follower kit.

You want the 1911 fullsize/commander mags

Edit: Product #: 856687
Colt #: SP53355B

I haven't tried those yet but I'll keep them in mind. My Colt mags from the early 90's are still going strong. My 8 round Chip Mckormicks from the same era now have Wilson 7 round spring and follower kits.

I need to try some of Wilsons 10 round mags yet.

Wilson 47DC is the 8 round with a steel low profile base and the nylon follower. These instantly drop clear for a mag change and I've never had a mag related malfunction. I use them on all my carry guns. They are not flush fitting but are lower than the 47 (and certainly the Sig) and I'd bet my life on em.

I bought a Tripp Research, 7 round mag (#7R-45-WG) for my 1911 Fastback, and it fits perfect in my gun. Looking at the bottom of the frame, from the side view, you don't see anything except the tab in front, coming out of the magwell. I also bought one from SA, and it's nice too, but doesn't sit quite as deep into the magwell as the Tripp; otherwisw it's great.

I also have a Sig Nightmare Carry. Wilson does make a 7 round magazine that fits flush, they call it a service mag for full size 1911s. The Wilson ETM low profile stick out but not as much as the Sig mags. Chip McKormick has eight round mags that fit flush, not sure about the quality but I have some. My Sig Nightmare Carry locked back on empty Sig mags but not on other brands. I replaced the slide stop with a Wilson that fixed the problem and also matched the other stainless parts better than the Sig one that came on the gun.
