I got a bunch of xtreme bullets last week that I ordered on Black Friday. When I ordered it, I knew it would be several weeks to get them. I guess I am wired different. If I need something immediately, I go into a local store and buy it. If I have a few days, I order from Midway. Otherwise, I just don't really care as long as I get it. I have had a Larue trigger that I ordered from them about a month ago, it asked me if I needed it any time soon. I said no and saved a bunch.

I usually have most of my orders within a week or two but when they run a deep sale like 45 acp, that seems to hold things up. If you place an order on something that had a deep sale or is an excellent deal then the delays compound. For normal stuff though, I've never had a delay at all. I do understand where you are coming from though.

Same here. I usually stock up when freedom runs their sales and i'm not in a rush to get it. If I need something quick I usually just go grab some at walmart or something.

That's the way I have to look at it...but at the same time, if that were the case I'd have ordered even more stuff, y'know?

edit to add: They sent me a tracking # yesterday, but entering it at UPS today shows no record. So they made up a label yesterday, but it hasn't actually shipped or entered the system yet. Perfect.

That's not always the shippers fault though. Sometimes it can take 24 hours for the UPS system to update. I've even gotten items before ups updated the tracking info. It went straight from label created to delivered.

Yeah, it's just how everything has been going with it that's got me a bit fed up. But I certainly hope that it does show up while I transit, as I have to make sure someone's at the address to receive. That's not always the case.

I'll say it now....it won't surprise me if that doesn't work out somehow. It'll probably come a day earlier or later than it's supposed to arrive, or the tracking number won't work online, etc. Just watch.

It seems to me that, Freedom is in Idaho and Xtreme is in Reno. I usually get my Xtreme stuff (in the Sacramento area)in a couple of days. Freedom has further to travel to get to me and I only buy when there is flat rate or free shipping. As such shipping takes longer from Freedom... Sometimes a couple of weeks depending on the time of year.

I ordered 1000 rounds of 9mm from Freedom Munitions in late June and the ammo showed as in stock and would ship out within 10 working days. After 3 weeks I emailed and was told they could not tell me the status of my order...after 30 days I cancelled my order. For my experience the customer service sucked.

Stuff's finally getting here today and tomorrow, and it turns out they can leave the delivery if no-one's here to sign too. Order: Nov. 26....Delivery: Dec. 29. Thing is, I want to order some more, but I don't know if I want to order from them.

Have called a few times and they've told me it will get out and they'll contact me with shipping info. Is this how it was for anyone else?

I'm pretty put off by this. I'm calling again tomorrow, and if the order hasn't actually left on its way I'm going to ask for cancellation and a full refund, and I'll order my bulk ammo from somewhere else. Or is this just how it is when ordering ammo online?
Use TargetSportsUSA.com.
They are here in CT, so the shipping cost and turn around time is minimal. The prices are a bit more than CheaperThanDirt.com, but the net is still lower because of the shipping.

That is the one advantage that I can think of as a resident of the state.

I'll check them out, thanks. May even be worth it for me to drive up, if that's possible.

I've often thought about ordering from them, but this type of stuff would really push me over the edge.

I placed an order with Palmetto State Armory on the 24th, it shipped Tuesday and the UPS guy just handed it to me.

I been using SGammo for my last few orders, but for my bulk, range ammo. I go with Freedom. I know sometimes it can take a while to get to me though.

I do have to say though my fastest order with them was 3 days. I ordered Monday morning and UPS delivered Thursday morning

If you're ordering handgun ammo, check out Highland Lakes ammunition. I started ordering my 357SIG from there and they have some really good prices on SD ammo and reman range ammo. I think I got my range ammo for like 16 a box and they give you a 10% off coupon when you place your first order. I ordered like 5 boxes on a Monday and got them before the end of the week pretty sure they have some rifle ammo as well, but i'm not sure how it's priced as I havent looked much.
