Got some Blue bullets for Christmas

Had a secret santa on Arfcom and got these. Loaded a ladder last week and found they liked 3.8gr of red dot best of the loads I tried. (still burning off a free keg of red dot from 2015, 8000 rounds in and its still over half full.) If I like them enough, I may start buying them instead of my usual RMR lead 125's and 147's. Got 3K 124gr bullets inbound from Xtreme ($221 shipped for 3K) so I'll be set for the rest of winter. The Sig P320RX is hungry.

I got some of those thinking 10mm. I trapped some in water and I saw too much loss of the blue, especially at the crimp.

If you are used to lead, it would be no biggie.
I am used to jacketed or Extreme plated.

I did find the Extreme not so great on accuracy with 10mm.
The blue did hold accuracy. I have yet to figure out why it did and the extreme double plate did not.

I still have a bunch left, and will shoot them up in 40 S&W.

Last spring I posted the trapped blue and plated here in reloading.

I've used Xtreme in the past for 9mm and had no issues. I usually keep my loads at or under 1050 FPS, and have had great results thus far.

My biggest grip with lead is the plume of smoke from the lube burning off. These blue bullets leave hardly a trace of smoke. It's also been reported that the powdercoat will burn off without residue, so you don't have to worry about leading in the barrel. If they can do the job of regular cast bullet lube, and smoke less, and leave a funny yet satisfying smell, I'm ok with that. I plan on running these 200 rounds of blue bullets, inspect the barrel, and then 200 rds of my 147gr lead to compare the two this weekend.

Been loading blue bullets for about a year, very accurate with no leading.
Loaded 600 9mm today , 115s over 4.1 of Titegroup.

I might add that this load shoots very well in the 320.
