Walmart was carrying Tula BrassMaxx in 380 for awhile, but can't find it any longer. Shoots fine and price was reasonable. Was made in Italy, and suspect it was made in the closed Fiocchi plants. Just imagine when Fiocchi closed shop and moved, that there were a lot of out of work ex-Fiocchi employees that were available and only too happy to work for Tula. Now with this other brand Perfecta, do you suppose this is the same stuff just under a different name?

Haven't run the pistol ammo yet but have run the .223 in my rifle, pretty good stuff.

Made in Italy. Bought a few hundred rounds to try it out.
What part of TX are you in? Here in my DFW area none of the Walmarts I check in Flower Mound, Lewisville, Decatur and Irving areas ever have squat for ammo.

I can't stand going to Walmart looking for ammo anymore. I'd have to stop there 10 times in hopes that I could find my 3 box limit once. I just order online now from any one of several places. I don't pay sales tax, and shipping is usually 12-15 bucks for 1000 round case. I can usually get 9mm for around $230 per 1000 rounds shipped to my door. One place to start looking is In stock ammo, guns, magazines, and reloading supplies. That site will show you some of the best prices on any ammo you're looking for, and the best news is I never have to go in another Walmart again.

Thumbs down

I also have found the Perfecta ammo at walmart I picked up 6 boxes of 9mm fmj 115 gr. On a recent trip to the range to break in a new Glock 19 I found the ammo to shoot average for cheap ammo but I had 4 rounds out of 300 without primers. I miss a primer or 2 when I reload but I expect factory ammo to have better QC. I'll pass on Perfecta the next I'm at Walmart.

I picked up 300rds today for $11 per 50@ Wal-Mart. I haven't shot any yet, but the 5.56 has been flawless & wasn't anymore dirty than anything else.

I've always found the European brands to be excellent bargains. In 9mm and .380 especially, their loads seem noticeably hotter than most American ammo unless you're buying the more costly premium self defense loads.

Another bonus is the slim packaging of the perfecta ammo, you can fit a lot more in a safe when you compare it to bulky packaging of Federal, blazer, or freedom munitions brands.

The Walmart near me (Gulf Breeze, FL) had Perfecta for $10.99/box o 50. Picked up 200 rds on Thursday and shot 50 through my P320, 50 through my FNS 9. Then yesterday shot the rest with my CZ75 and SP2022. All the guns seemed to like it. Very happy with this ammo, fully reliable and no hangups. Hope they keep selling it at this price...or lower!

BTW the SP2022 is awesome! I actually shot it just as well as I did the other 3.

That's less expensive than reloading. Do they make it in .380? Mouse gun stuff is approaching $30/50 here in Central Flourdough.

Absolutely agree, I enjoy shooting my SP2022 in 9mm too.

I shot a few hundred rounds of this early last year when I first saw it. Like you guys. It was around $10/50 box.

Now its 13.97.

I've been shooting 115 federal aluminum since.

I had no issues with it, but when I shoot I really shoot.

And the difference of $9 and $14 goes a long way.

Perfecta has made it's way up here DFW in 9mm, .45, .223 and .308.

I've only shot the .308 with no problems, but not quite as tight of groups as the Herters steel and brass case, and some Brown Bear I compared it to. At fifty cents a round not too bad for .308
