I say that every time a best round argument comes around, but everyone is sure bigger is better. The Strausbourg Study said that way back in 1991. If you read the whole study you can see the reaction times from being shot and how long before the body actually knowis and reacts to being shots, per caliber.

I like this photo.

Trying to find one with a more extensive line - up, but it's been difficult...

About 15 years ago we got a computer and I started reporting on gun forums what I saw in the corral and fields when shooting butcher stock with service pistols in a multitude of calibers. I was guffawed, laughed at, ridiculed, called a liar, called a troll, told I was un-American, rejected, despised and abused. Maybe one or two other things as well but this about sums it up.

I made it worse by getting into the prediction threads and proclaiming that the Army would never again adopt a .45 because there is no advantage to be gained by it except that its bullets run slow and are thus easier to suppress so for that reason they will always have a few floating around for special purposes. The gurus could have put a house fire out with the blood squirting from their eyes and the exploded veins on their foreheads.

Then over time I noticed subtle changes, then more and now,...

More and more are coming around to the truth. It's refreshing.

Well, you know what they say.

Something like this? The print is a bit distorted but readable to my older eyes (especially if you enlarge the browser window)
