Yep, here's a link. Norinco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If half of this is to be believed, they sound like a bunch of real dirtbags.

NORINCO = CHICOM need one say more?
They also make fake or faux classics. 45acp's and half of them blew up in owners hands.Same ole problem with metal. Quality control is non existent.

Yeah, my particular Norinco SKS copy (model 56 I believe) was junk. Bought it the first year of the Ban. I believe the box named it a "Sporter Rifle" or something like that. It is long gone from my collection now.

I know they make shitty '1911's.. but I was more curious about their .45acp rounds.
I know the 7.62x39 stuff they make functions well, but that's a different cat all together.

Really??

The Norinco SKS I have is a fucking beast!
Took a solid 900 rounds in like 2 hours without a sweat.. I should have lubed it better before hand because there is a fair bit of wear now. But it still functions and cycles smooooooth.

Bottom line is:
I want some cheap ammo in .45acp.

I would get a P226, but I prefer the grip of the P220. And I prefer the single stack mags for cosmetic reasons.
*Just remember, I'm in Canada and we'll never get to carry. So the gun I buy will just be a pretty Range Queen.

Soulfly, you missed an important part of my post. I said 1/2 of them blew up. Their qc is out to lunch. Some metal is soft and some harder than a hookers heart. I've shattered drill bits trying to drill it and some places the bit went thru like soft butter, all the same piece of metal. Other thing I not particularly fond of doing business with any Chinese let alone CHICOM's. Being from Canada you may not feel that way. Who knows? Check SIGLars post

Years ago they used to sell this Norinco 9mm ammo in a black box with gold lettering at my LGS. When you opened the box, the bullets were gold. When I fired them in my Sig P226, the bullets were a little hot and had a mean muzzle flash and fairly accurate too. One of the best plinking ammo I ever fired... but that was over 20 years ago.
