I was wondering what you guys would recomend for bullets, powder, and primers. I haven't started reloading yet just want to get things in order, and I may have my buddy reload some ammo for me, since he does a good job at it.

I load for a SIG 239 and 229 in 40 S&W, and my current favorite for a light plinking load is 165 grain Berry's plated FN bullet over Winchester 231 with CCI 500 primers. Unique is a versatile powder, you can usually get an accurate load with it in just about any caliber, but it's dirty, commonly called "flaming dirt". With plated bullets the recommendation is to load like a cast lead bullet. Don't use a heavy crimp. Keep velocities below 1100 fps. You need to get a good reloading manual, make that several. I noticed that there weren't any responses to your OP. Most people aren't very comfortable giving out recipes over the internet, liability issues and all.
