WWB at Walmart

Has anyone else noticed WWB 9mm has been nonexistent at Walmarts for the past month?

The 100rd box is the best value for ammo around me but it has completely disappeared from every store that carries it. What odd is they have overflowing shelves of 40 cal.

We are in the midst of an ammo shortage.

My LGS is one of the largest ammo dealers in the region, but they are limiting ammo purchases to two boxes per visit, and they still have very little inventory on the shelves. To their credit, they have not raised prices.

Go online and you'll find that many merchants are completely out of many popular calibers such as 22LR, 9mm, and .45 ACP. Some are so swamped they have fulfillment delays that they are measuring in units of weeks, not days. Others won't even allow you to backorder.

Saw the same at my WM. no 9, few 380, 5 boxes of 40.

I got the rest of the 40 last night. She said they went up 2 bucks on the 40 two days prior

Mine has a couple of boxes of .45 in there just about everytime I have been there. Still no .22's. Two LGS's have them but you pay for it.

I got the last 5 boxes of .40 cal PDX1 at the local Wal-Mart, and now I'm working on the .45 cal PDX1. It's $7-$10 a box cheaper then the local gun dealers.

I live in McHenry County and have seen this in six different ones, one in almost every town around me.

It's better to get ammo when you can, then to wait until it's hard to find and costs a lot more. Buy two boxes, shoot one, and save one. Nothing wrong with stocking up.

22LR.....9mm....223/556 are hard to find EVERYWHERE...I live in Texas and work at Academy sports&outdoors which has 158 stores all the way to the Carolinas and Florida...our stores are basically rationed on those ammos...each store getting a few cases on each truck several times a week...20 or so boxes of each dont last out the day they came in and thats with the stores limiting customers to one or two boxes. Most of the stores are out in a few hours.

SOOO...as some one said...buy two...shoot one...build a reserve....

That practice have worked for me, last three trips to the range I have shot one 100 round WWB value pack and bought 2 to replace it. I have been looking for more for a while now to replace the last box I shot.

I went to the Walmart at Beach and Hodges. I just bought two boxes of WWB .40 165gr. They had several boxes of 165 and 180 gr. They also had some blue box no name 180 gr. and several boxes of Hydro Shock. They were out of 9mm. and had only a couple boxes of Zombie maxx .45.

At our local WalMart I asked the Sports Sales Assoc. what was going on and he told me they keep trying to order ammo, which he said is an open item in their supply system, but when the Asst. Mgr. tried to order some the other day the system locked him out and would not allow the processing of any ammo orders. We live in a rural farm area and the Assoc. said they sell A Lot of ammo, and that not being able to get it has really hurt his dept.'s sales numbers. At least you still have rifles I told him. He laughed and said that it really didn't matter because if people can't buy the ammo they go where they can and buy the rifle there.

I've been hitting the Walmart by my work almost every day while on lunch looking for the Federal bulk and WWB (I usually prefer the Federal). Yesterday I was able to get one 50 round box of WWB in .45 auto.

I'll hit it again today, wish me luck!
