I would say no, but seeing you live in Joisey, you'd better do a thorough google search on that.

Soon, breathing will be illegal in Joisey.

Re: Ammo shipping restrictions?

Send a PM to member Downtownv, he should be able to steer you right.

Make sure you have Evan Nappan's phone number handy, but I'm sure you do!

ETA: Downtownv is a NJ resident and the NJ laws are foreign to me. I understand that the possession of hollow point ammo can be criminal in NJ? You certainly need to be very careful! What applies to me here in Ohio is absolutely meaningless to you.

Thanks for the info. I think hollow points are ok, at least at 22 caliber. Also found out you can receive and ship by UPS ground.

It cannot be shipped via air has to go ground and label ORM-D hazardous material. I am not up to speed on state to state restrictions. Oregon is good to go.

True. Also, USPS will not handle. UPS and Fed Ex are the only carriers I am aware of and that is only at their hubs for drop off. Can't take it to a Fed Ex Office or UPS store for drop off. Adult signature is also required for delivery.

NJ has some very strict laws, especially regarding ammo. OP really needs to get info from someone familiar with NJ laws. Downtownv should be able to point you in the right direction for good info. I understand it is illegal to posess hollow point bullets (yes, bullets, not just cartridges!) in some situations in NJ.

Just be very careful and confirm the information you receive in NJ. I'd hate to see you arrested for violating a law and spend any time behind bars!

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I will investigate carefully before I do anything. Just remembered parent on my son baseball team is in law enforcement. Probably a good person to talk to.

Here is a site that discusses hollowpoint ammo regulations in Joisey:

I wouldn't say that. Many LEOs have no idea what the latest state/local laws are.
