Self-defense against people is all well and good, but what about self-defense against dogs and other animals? Not all threats to man are from animals that go on two legs. Occasionally the four-legged variety pose grave dangers. .

I treat them no different than people. If they act aggressive toward me it won't end well for them.

Good topic. Review your local laws to help you formulate a plan that allows you to protect yourself and stay on the right side of the law. Some rural areas allow shooting dogs on your property. Some require threatening of livestock or people. etc..

I carry a pepper spray when walking my dogs to the parks. I'm in a suburban city in Los Angeles county and will never get a CCW in this county. So a gun is out of the question for dogs here.

Every time I see the title to this thread I feel like punching my laptop

Sorry for that rant but the title pisses me off and I hate to think how I would react if someone shot, stabbed or beat my dog
