Gorgeous! I actually prefer these grips to the wood ones myself...

They do not sell out of state or ship to out of state FFL. Why advertise on a national forum with that policy? I was prepared to buy it.

I am going to Dallas this weekend so I called to get some additional information on this gun as I have always been interested in the elite stainless. ( I am attracted to anything stainless and even my p938 had to have a stainless slide…)

I thought it a bit unusual that this would be new in the box without rosewood grips so I asked the store to check to see if the rosewood grips are in the box. They checked this and verified that the grips are not in the box or included with the gun purchase. I was told that this gun is not new and that this is a used gun and they have no information on how many rounds might have been put through the gun or any history on it. I was told that the gun is in good condition.

I have decided not to purchase this gun but did want to update the group as to what I heard from the store.

For $899 I could have dealt without the grips... even if it was slightly used! But no history . . . no info? Forget that. Good choice to walk away Debb. "if it's too good to be true..."

The person I spoke with at the store selling this gun told me it was a used gun and I believe his name was Mark? I just attempted to call the shop to verify the name of the person I spoke to today for this post but the shop is closed so I will update this thread tomorrow. I verified not once but twice that the gun was used and was told that it was definitely used and the number of rounds and history were not known but the gun is in good condition. I can only post what I was told by the shop so if this information is inaccurate, I suggest you contact the store providing this information.

I called today to purchase and was told the exact same thing. Used no history no rosewood grips won't ship...actually first they said they would ship and I told them I would take it, then they put me on hold and said they could not ship it. I told the guy it was advertised as new and he said " oh well I'm not sure, it doesn't say it's new, but I would assume it is used but it would be used very little if it was." Good deal if you knew the real story.

There is a difference in NEW IN BOX and PREVIOUSLY OWNED. The gun may be listed as used because it was purchased from a LGS, but never shot which would still make it NIB but still used.
Confusing right?

I just wish I was in Dallas with $1000 bucks in my pocket right now.

Yes there is and I was very clear on verifying the difference between these two when I called to inquire on the gun as I was seriously interested in purchasing this gun. If the gun has truly never been used, the owner needs to clarify this with the store selling it as they are very confused.

I am curious though as to why someone would buy a gun they did not intend to use, change the custom rosewood grips specific to this elite model, then not make those grips available for purchase with the gun they describe as new in box. There might be a very valid reason behind this but this sort of information when looking at a gun at a consignment store that the owner is saying is NIB and the store is saying is used might have made a difference in my confidence of the sale.

Well, If it were my Elite and the information I posted was correct you bet your ass I would be here defending my classified ad! A quick blurp to defend it just causes more suspicion to be honest. Must be a scam?!?

If it were my NIB, I would be all over the store employees that are telling people that the gun was used. I would also respond in the classified that I created providing additional details such as why no original grip on a NIB.

But....the store employees that accepted my NIB consignment that are informing people that inquire on my gun that it is used would feel the full brunt of my wrath.
