West German Sig P228 (KC - 1992)

I privately purchased the P228 in 1993 for my 21st B-Day in KY. Since then it has had less than 100 rnds put through it and has remained in storage. The gun is immaculate and has matching serials ( B156 XXX) and German proof marks (KC). There is zero rust (very clean gun) and it has a Hogue aftermarket grip (the slide on kind - original grips are underneath).

Full disclosure - I do not have the box and have only one magazine (13 round) which I used seperately for work (which has some wear, but works well) - I am a LEO and have moved several times over the last two decades, some things just got misplaced.

Having looked at all the various forums, I know it is highly sought after model of P228. Had a local gun store look at it this week and they were impressed with the condition; however, they low-ball offers due to overhead and I didn't yet want to place it on consignment (15%) without trying to post something first.

Asking price is starting at $650, but I will consider all reasonable offers. I have never sold online and would need to work out details for FFL transfer, shipment and payment method. I have a dealer that I would likely utilize in Northern VA for FFL transfer & shipment (buyer is responsible for FFL shipment & transfer fees).

and I thought about that long and hard, but I need to get a smaller ODC wpn and am also in the process of purchasing an M4 through an IOP program. Unfortunately, if money wasn't an issue - LEO living in DC area with family - then I probably wouldn't part with it.

i sold the last one for $400 & included 3, p6 mags, don't give it away.

Thanks, I won't. I have a ton of accessories for the thing I am going to put on the advertisement and throw in that I have acquired over the years that are brand new (cleaning kits, safari land paddle & mag holsters, etc), I just hadn't gotten around to taking the pictures and editing the add.

I am in the market for a conceal model Sig. I was pretty much sold on a 1911 compact but this is looks like it would be very concealable. Are you looking for cash only or would you consider trading?

Mike, looking for cash. As for concealable, yes I can tell you that it is. If I get a solid offer, i will throw in safariland leather gear (paddle holster and magazine holder) as well as a new cleaning kit.
