Lets see your competition rig.

Show us what you shoot, and what you put it in for competition.

Holster, mag pouches, belts, whatever lets see it.

I will get some pics of mine when I get home, this was a spur of the moment thought.

Interested in this. I'm probably going to get a stingray for my XFive and some mag pouches.

First off, Im sorry for the crappy pics, and the really messing reloading, holster bench. Been pretty busy, and forgot I needed to snap these tonight.

That a G35 that I shoot production in USPSA with. Has a Lone Wolf barrel and a couple internal trigger adjustments.

I carry 4 mags on a CR Speed belt.

I am thinking about trying out 3 gun soon so I threw a Pmag on there to show it.

The holster and one of the mag pouches were made by myself, and they have worked great for me. The other 3 mag pouches were from a member on another forum.

Should have my foliage green stingray in 3 to four weeks, will post pics. Smith, do you prefer the single mag puches to the doubles?

I do, simply bc it allows me to have more options and move them around more if I would like.

I have made mag carries that look like the style Raven Concealment makes, and I prefer the style that I use just bc they take up less real estate. The retention of the Raven style is a little better though. You get more of a positive snap when the mags are inserted.

What type of mag pouches are you planning to go with?

I was considering the bladetech doubles but now I'm leaning toward the speedsec ones. Seems odd that a lot of these are more or as much as a holster! Do you recommend the ravens? I don't need anything right away but I do plan on doing a few pistol classes this summer.

I can not, as I have never used Ravens. I mess around with kydex quite a bit, and have made my own that I have really liked. I can make them alot cheaper than it would cost me to purchse the holsters and mag pouches for as well.

Plus they don't make clear holsters!!

But I have heard very good things about Ravens quality, so im sure there mag pouches would be great too.

X-5

This is my Sig P226 X-5 Competition in .40s&w that I use in USPSA Limited and Limited 10. I use a CR Speed competition belt and 4 CR Speed mag holsters. The holster I use is a Blade Tech made specifically for the Sig X-5 Competition model. The first pic is of the X-5 and mags only. The second pic is of my X-5, P220 Elite Match .45acp, and Diamond Plate P226 9mm.

Pics aren't real good as they are from my cell phone.

Hi Jgus, your extra magazines are those mec gar 15 rounds? if yes does it fit to your x5 competition with original magwell, I'm asking coz I asked some store that the mec gar 15 rounds with +2 base pad will not fit to p226 x5 competition they said that the base pad were to wide for the magwell. Hope you can give suggestions or tips. thanks have a good day!

Yes, using standard 15 rd Mecgar mags.

For them to fit in the factory magwell or an aftermarket magwell, just shave a very small amount off the sides and top to make them fit. I have a grinder and after just a few minutes I got all 8 Mecgar mags to fit just fine. Take the base pad off a mag, and the first time you do it take very, very small amounts off until it fits. Then once done with the first you will know exactly how much to take off the other base pads. You could also do it with a file, but it went really fast with my $50 grinder.

I've since added some extended base pads to these Mecgar Mags that now have me up to 18 rds in each mag.

But, here is a pic of my Sig X-5 Competition (along with an STI Tactical 5.0) with a standard Mecgar 15 rd mag inserted after a little bit of grinding.

And here are the Mecgar 15 rd mags with the Roger Sherman extended base pads that get capacity to 18 rds. These fit perfectly in any magwell and don't need any alteration.
