Got to the range early this morning so I had the place to myself. Set up two USPSA targets about 7 yards apart, at 15 yards distance. Started off to one side, draw and fire 2 on one target, and then sprint to second shooting position, 10-12 yards across range, and put two on second target. Repeat starting on opposite side. Variations included shooting both targets at each position, and also moving back and forth several times in a string. Engaging both targets from each position helps to work on both moving and target transitions. Goal was A hits and getting in and out of position quickly, and having gun up on target as I entered position. Of course, finger off trigger, 180 rule, etc.

Put 250 rounds down range. I was very happy with mostly A's, some C hits, very few flyers. Was good to work on bursts of speed to new shooting box. That's something (one of many somethings) that I need to improve on. The range was muddy so that added to the challenge. Skipped trying to add in reloads to keep mags out of mud.

Was a great way to bring in the new year. And, now several hours later, I can fill it in my leg muscles!

What a wonderful way to spend the New Year!!! I'm limited to indoor ranges... and at the indoor ranges, most if not all will not allow you to wear a holster or shoot on the move (for liability reasons, which is truly understandable). Happy New Year VADavid!!!
