My SIG P226 E2 came with the standard SIG Night Sights. The more I shoot in competition, the more I see I need to change them out. This weekend I shot two matches, both of which had stages with 6" steel plates out to 15 or so yards. At that distance, the front post is essentially bigger than the target. Add to that the small open space between the two rear posts, and it became nearly impossible to sight in. I had to put the post under the target and then raise the gun ever so slightly to cover the target and hope it was lined up. Not the speediest way to shoot! I need a THIN front post at the very least (fiber?). A wider spacing at the rear would be good too. I do not want to change the point of aim I currently have. If anyone has recommendations, I'm listening. Hopefully I'll get to talk to some shooters about their experiences as well at the VA/MD Sectional this weekend. |

I've been rocking the warren tactical rear sight along with a trijicon front sight for a while now. I've been very pleased with the warren rear. The trijicon front is a bit wide for my liking, and I would replace it with a dawson front sight, but i'm looking at a new gun, so i'm not really looking to be replacing a bunch of stuff right now.

How about Hi-Viz for the front sight... they also have a front and rear sight combo. http://www.hivizsights.com/Sig-Sauer-C14.aspx |

| http://www.heinie.com/product_info.p...products_id=66 A fairly narrow front sight blade. Combine it with the wide rear slot (.156" I think) and it is a perfect solution for quick acquisition of the front site while still allowing you to see just where the front blade is relative to the target. We had a couple of Glocks equipped with these sights at a training class I attended a year or so back. We were shooting an eight inch steel plate at up to 50 yards and every single student in the class shot better with this sight arrangement from 15 yards out than with their OEM sights. It is an excellent design. Quote:
