Shoulder Rigs for SIG P229

I posted this over on the SIG Pistols section, probably better here...

Does anyone carry a SIG P229 in a shoulder holster, and what are your pros and cons? Maybe weight, bulk, etc. Also, if you do, what brands/rigs do you prefer? Thanks in advance!

I like the Bianchi Tuxedo shoulder rig. It's a nylon rig so it is very light. The double mag pouch balances out the weight distribution. If adjusted properly, it will be very comfortable to wear.
The con of any shoulder holster is, that you always have to wear a jacket or heavy shirt over it to conceal the rig.

Thanks for your recommendation. I'm also looking at several Galcos...not sure if I need a leather rig to support the weight or if nylon will provide enough. Wouldn't it be great if there were a place to try them before buying...

I use a Galco with double mag pouch--also have different hosters for other pistols--very versatile and comfortable mostly in the winter & spring months with coats jackets in high risk areas, usually at night. I shoot the Sig 229 (.40, 9mm or 357) & the 220 very well & have trained with them so I don't hesitate to carry them. Also allows for backup on my hip or ankle. To each his own.

I have a good ol' Uncle Mike's nylon vertical rig. It's nothing special, but it stays nice and secure. The retaining strap does not prevent the handgun from being pulled out easily, it just keeps it from falling out.

It was given to me, so I'm not sure if it would be worth the asking price. But I intend to wear it on special occasion.

Oh, and - it's dedicated to my P226. A P229 I'd rather wear on my belt.
