I have the P238 Equinox and never wear a belt. The Sig pocket holster is too wide to fit in most of my front pockets since I am a female and wear female pants. Are there any suggestions on a non-clip holster or something to fit in my pocket or that can attach to my pants without needing a belt?

Only a few things come to mind if you don't wear a belt

Thunderware

Belly band

Galco ankle lite (I carry my P3AT in one of these and love it)

Check out this website: http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterPT4.asp

It is a different belly band than the one you found. The one you found was about $32 cheaper, but it looks like my P238 .380 will fall through the slots. This Galco one has leather to hold the pistols vs. just elastic. I also have a snub .357 I'd like to use this for as well. Your thoughts?

Well having used a belly band before I can tell you your guns will get sweat all over them so the leather sounds like it might help but I have never tried them. If you wear long pants Ankle carry is the way to go and thunderware is second. I am afraid the 238 will rust if you carry it in a belly band but is an option if the other 2 don't work.

Here this might help

If an attacker comes up from behind me, I dont think an ankle holster would help too much since I would have to bend over to get at the pistol. I may be wrong............. Ankle carry would be nice though.........

Well an IWB holster worn at 3 o'clock would be ideal. Ultimately I would suggest you figure out how to modify your wardrobe to accommodate IWB at 3o'clock, but I was trying to suggest methods that would work around the wardrobe you mentioned. I would never suggest ankle carry as a primary carry option unless you were restricted as you stated you were. And ankle carry can be effective with the right amount of practice.

Here are some options:
  • Fanny pack holster
  • Shoulder holster
  • Ankle holster
  • Discreet daily planner holster
  • Holster purse

I bought a 1.5" belt thinking I may end up wearing a belt holster. Anyway, here are some holsters I have been looking at. Some are IWB and some are out. Any thoughts?

Highnoon Bare Asset IWB or Skin Guard belt holster

Galco Stinger belt holster

Wolf Bite IWB

ITAC holster I have. There is no cant and it is small.

The Blackhawk pocket holster doesn't do as good a job at concealing the outline, but it is much slimmer than other pocket holsters. http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Poc...ster,82,34.htm

For a pocket holster, I've had excellent results with my RKBA.

My 238 pocket holster is from RKBA. I bought a monogram one. Bought one for my son, as well. Great pocket holster.

New to the forum and have a P238 with factory laser coming. I want to find a quality pocket holster that accommodates the Sig brand laser. Thought I would revive this old thread to see what new options are out there.

These look promising:

pocketholsters.com

and

RKB

Any advice or experience anyone can offer would be appreciated. Do I need the hinged flap to prevent printing in my pocket? Any other brands I should consider?

Just bought a DeSantis Sof-Tuck IWB holster (#106 in the product line). The clip is stiff enough to wear clipped on slacks, shorts, skirts, etc without needing a belt.

The leather is cheap and probably won't stack up against heavy sweating, but for $20 it's a great find. Works perfectly at my 3-o-clock.

Go with the RKBA and don't even consider a holster with that hard leather flap.

The only holster that can do all that is the REMORA. I have this holster and recommend it to everyone. The P238 needs the series 2. Don't add anything to it.

The Original Remora No Clip Concealment Holsters

This is exactly what My wife uses with her P238. It goes in her purse, pocket or IWB. Works well.
