re: Perment wait time?

In NC, Mecklenburg county at least not sure about all, they have to legally provide you the purchase permit or denial in 30 days. It took 27 days from date of submission to pickup.

For CCH permit they have 90 days to legally provide the permit or inform you of denial. I go for my appointment tomorrow... now I am not sure if the 90 days starts from tomorrow or from when I made the appointment.

Once you have the CCH permit you no longer need the purchase permits.

In Arkansas it is usually 30 days as they give your County and City of residence that long to respond if they know something about you the State ought to know. Any other background issues and it can take longer.

Is this is how long you have been waiting, or what you were told?

I'm in Michigan - turned my paperwork in this morning...and now the waiting game begins!

The instructor at my state required course said in my county it is typically a 3 week wait. At the clerk's office, they said 6 weeks. I'm hoping the 6 weeks is just the boilerplate answer

They said 4-to-6 weeks for mine here in Idaho. I waited a whole 28 days before I got a call from my mom saying that it was waiting at home and she'd send it to me here at college.

I had mine in 3 weeks in TX, which is pretty much the minimum that they say it takes. I've heard of people waiting a lot longer.
