Hey All,
new holster from Occidental Leather: Phoenix Stronghold IWB.
Outstanding quality, rides just behind my hip and conceals great, even under an untucked tee shirt.

Tight, tight, tight is my only complaint!
I've done the whole "baggie overnight" and just got back from a range visit, where I drew and re-holstered at least 40 times....still tight, but a bit improved.

I think the culprit is the metal band that is part of the reinforced mouth...?

Here are some pics (poor quality, but you get the idea)
I would recommend this company, which is affiliated with TT Gunleather (which is my favorite holster maker, but TT will make you wait for 8 weeks, whereas the Occidental are shipped within a few days)

No to hijack your thread - but I got my Stronghold Phoenix IWB holster yesterday (along with a gun belt from them too) for my 220 compact SAS and it is awesome...

Yesterday, the fit was very very tight - but after wearing it around the house for two days, the draw is almost smooth. I think another day or two and it will be good to go.

The construction is top notch on both the holster and the belt.

I'm a wiry guy (~6ft, 150lbs), and the belt holds my pants up along with the heavy gun. It easily conceals under a tshirt with jeans.

+1 to Stronghold Phoenix holsters :D

Nice to hear!
Mine has broken in nicely....but I am still in search of the perfect holster for this heavy pistol.
I have an MTAC in the mail, but that is specifically for a P245, which has a slightly different trigger guard angle (thanks bearone2, for your pics)...so we shall see if it will fit.
I might have to resort to a TT Gunleather "Mike's Special", which I have used for a Glock 26....they ride low and have more forward cant angle than most holsters.....

Anyway, enjoy your 220 Compact, and keep posting your holster results!

On that note, today I also took delivery of a 5.11 Thumb Drive holster - the model made for the Sig 228/229. I bought it with the hope that it might fit my 220 compact SAS with some modification.

Luckily, the 220 compact SAS fits very well... there is a very very slight wiggle (maybe .5mm of travel if you try to move it). If it ends up moving while walking around, my plan is to take a small piece of soft side velcro tape and put it somewhere in there to tighten it up.

But - it locks in there perfectly, draws smoothly, and really fits like a champion given that it's the wrong model.

Hurray to 5.11!

the MTAC arrived today....
Fast shipping, as usual with Comptac products....

Unfortunately, the holster does NOT fit my 220 Compact....:(
The company service rep told me that it might not.....and actually suggested that I not even bother trying....but I wanted to try, and did.

So, I will send it back to them, and resort to a TT Gunleather "Mike's Special" IWB.....
My Occidental simply does not ride low enough for me.

I will be sure to post pics when all is said and done!

I was interested in the Occidental leather Pheonix Stronghold IWB holster. Seems to get many great reviews. I too have the p220 sas and was wondering if you specifically had to tell them the model, or if thier mold for the 220 compact is what you ordered. I only ask because I went to the site and this is the only option they had. Thanks! It's been hell finding a good holster for the compact. Recently bought a hybrid from whitehat and had some issues. They quickely responded and are sending me a replacement, but I don't know after using it, if hybrids are for me. I don't want to wait 22 weeks for a Sparks and not sure if Rosens are worth the $220 +. They both have a great reputation, but i feel that other brands can make a great holster just the same.
