I can't wait to see the constrictions the General Assembly tries to put on CC. It's a big win, but the fight will continue. BTW anyone care to bet sales skyrocket in Illinois, and NRA classes start to fill up? |

we have enough votes in the House and the Senate to block any bad bills. If we decide to block a bad bill bill than on June 9, 2013 your FOID becomes both an open and concealed carry permit and their are zero geographical limits or constraits. Congrats to our friends in Illinois! I hope you guys and gals get a fair bill...unlike the county I live in over here in CA. Technically we have the right, but the sheriff won't approve ANY applications. Enjoy the victory!

I dunno...lots of "experts" on other forums saying this this is never going to happen because it wouldn't pass in the Illinois State Supreme Court...I don't know enough about these things....let's pray the best.

Wow! Good victory for the folks who worked hard to make this happen! I assumed that Illinois would always be the land of Fascist gun laws, and that only the privileged political class would be allowed to carry firearms...... Outstanding! I will be keeping eyes peeled to see what the realities of the laws are.... |
