I'm new to rifles. I haven't even shot my 516 yet. So, I apologize if this sounds dumb.

I notice that the bolt will release on its own after I pull the charging handle to the rear and lock it. It only seems to do this when no magazine is inserted.

Do others experience this? Maybe, I am doing something wrong. To lock it back to inspect the chamber I am supposed to pull the charging handle back and press the bottom of the bolt catch lever, right?

Ok, so now I know that I have the right gal. A couple of weeks ago she brought home her new 938. She trained on my USP9, loved it, went to a couple of smaller pistols and ended up with a G26.

The Glock, is a little big for her summer purses and the 938 is perfect for her.

So far, she's only shot about 300 rounds (124 junk ammo- remember we have Glocks and HKs, and they'll eat anything!) and the 938 is flawless.

She''s a petite Sr. and does fine with the Sig whereas she can't cycle my DB.

It's a great little firearm and a later production so I'm hoping that it continues to be reliable. If so, it'll replace the G26 for this summer.

Thanks for listening!

Got a P239 SAS Gen II Two Tone 9MM waiting at my local gun store.
I have a Walther PPK .380 for pocket carry. I wanted something more substantial for on my belt covered by a light shirt or jacket.
It seemed like the right choice for me. I like SA/DA triggers and all the reviews said this was a good trigger.
Pics to be posted when it's in my hand. My CC license should be ready any time now.
I'll be reading a lot here.
Thanks,

Sooo, after 2 months of waiting for my LGS to get in an SP2022, and watching or hearing about at least 3 other people walk into other stores in the area and walk out with one well after I had placed my order, I canceled my order with them (and they actually refunded my deposit, which they technically didn't have to do after 30 days). So I give them props for good customer service.

Before I canceled it I found a dealer not to far away who had one on Armslist. New in box, 15 Rd mag, with night sites (my original order did not have night sites) for 2 dollars more than the one I had on order. Took a long lunch today, filled out my papers, talked sweetly to my new SIG, and promised it I'd be back Friday after work and bring it to it's new home.

It's almost mine :)

Be prepared to remove the front and rear OEM iron sights. The top surface of the rear sight will make light contact against the eye piece of the scope. Counting from the Charging Handle, I mounted the scope mount with 5 Picatinny slots visible which provides a perfect eye relief for me, and the scope is almost perfectly centered between the mounting rings. Due to my short arms, I collapse the stock to provide a total length of 37" from the front of the flash suppressor to the butt of the stock.
Yes, the scope interferes with grasping the charging handle, but "improvise and adapt" and deal with it, and don't waste money on an extended charging handle. 168 grain Hornady and Federal Match ammo is coming out of the closet. Just received 15 boxes of Hornady at the cost of $404.25 + shipping.
