which are the better online gun auctions ? does anyone have better experience with one over the other .. bad sellers or best sellers looking for a p238
Gunbroker is the best I have used. There are still some good deals on Gunbroker and a lot of excellent sellers. Gunbroker has the best systems features for the use of registered users as well. The advanced searches and saved searches are very good tools.
Bud's pricing is normally pretty good. I purchased a 238 from Bud's with an extended mag and a laser for around $570 if memory serves. No additional tax but you will have to pay the FFL fee.
Good experiences for me on both GunBroker and GunsAmerica. Just pay close attention to the seller feedback. Small percentage negative feedback doesn't necessarily a bad seller make. Read the actual feedback, might be complaining (whining) about something trivial.
I like to use MasterCard for payment as the small fee normally charged by the seller can serve as insurance should the transaction veer off to the south.
I have noticed that when bidding on Gunbroker a lot of times the price gets ran up by a user that has never bought or sold anything on there before. Kind of fishy to me.
