G'day, im new to this forum but i was hoping someone could help me out with some answers. I came accross a 226 for sale recently, appears brand new but an older model. Has the older grips, no picertiny rail etc. The one thing about it that i dont get is that there is no stamp on the side of the slide which says SIG SAUER P226. It does have the Germany stamp on it though. Could it be a copy or did Sig release some early 226's without their logo. Possibly a military version? cheers. |

Couple things.... first, can you check to see if the slide and barrel are serialized? Second, if so, do they match the frame. If you can access the serial number, whether just on the frame or in all three places, can you pm it to me? I would be happy to ring my Sig rep and have him look up the SN. If you can get a photo, I will pass that to him as well and he might be able to provide some insight.
