OWB Holster options, yeah I know, another one of these.

Ok folks. Never really carried using an owb holster and I know there are 100's of pretty decent options. Well given Texas is open carry, (highly doubt will do that but printing is less of a deal here) and winter is coming, I might give this a try a bit more. This will also allow me to carry my 226 tacops some which is a bit big for my usual aiwb. Thought owb might be more comfortable for some of my bigger/heavier P-series sigs so looking for a couple options

So here is what I'm looking for and my criteria:

1. I would like 100% kydex (Leather would be potential option but not likely, no hybrids)
2. Would like it high and tight, as close/tight into the body as possible. This is a must.
3. Huge fan of JMC for aiwb and would probably go that route unless someone enlightens me to something as good or better with shorter wait times (8-9 weeks)
4. This would not likely be what I use for edc but as an occasional option, not opposed to spending the money but reasonably priced would be nice.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Pics are great but links work to. :D

thanks in advance.

For your #2 requirement, I don't like Tech-Lok. It is a great system, but I don't feel it holds high & tight. I use a K-Rounds pancake in classes and general training. It is definitely Kydex (#1) and
I feel it is high & tight against my body (#2).

I am with you, OP, I don’t like leather either. I consider myself an expert (or addict) when it comes to kydex. I have had Bravo Concealment, Black Dog Concealment, KT-Mech, Blade-Tech, Garrett Industries, Kaluban Cloak, High Country Holsters, We Plead the 2nd, Alabama Holster Company, Forest City Tactical, Raw Dog Concealment and probably more that I am forgetting. The Alabama Holster Company is my EDC for my Beretta Nano. However, my favorites are Black Dog Concealment and KT-Mech. Black Dog is exactly what you are looking for. Pancake style, great kydex and color. Their lead times are maybe a week. Easily better than Raven Concealment and Bravo Concealment which are probably the most popular. Quality is there and the lead time is 100x better, which puts them over the others. My other favorite is KT-Mech. I have a level 2 and a level 1 for my P320 both OWB mounted on RTI hangers used for duty/range/class. KT-Mech’s lead time is 2 weeks flat. They have an optional 3 day lead time for $17. I used it once before and they made and shipped my holster in a day. KT-Mech does have pancake style as well but never used one.

Dang, thought I was bad, you put me to shame with all your holsters. Exactly the feedback I was hoping for. I'll definitely check those out. thx.

Curious, what's the problem you have with leather?
Not really that opposed to leather, but I prefer the kydex overall. I actually prefer the positive retention and feel i get from kydex. I think if I were to carry everday with it, I might go the leather route but this is mainly for training at the range and the occasional carry owb as an option depending on my clothing in the winter.

I have had good luck with Detroit Concealment Kydex Holsters. ( Detroit Concealment ) I own several and they would meet your criteria. The are well-made, reasonably priced, and ride high and tight to the body for maximum concealment. I carry OWB at 3:00.

I also use a Blade-Tech Total Eclipse for my full-size M&P. This holster rides tight to the body, and allows me to carry a large-framed gun concealed with virtually no printing:
