226 combat holsters

Hi, looking for holsters for the p226 combat. It seems that most holsters don't fit because the rail is different. Any truth to this? Maybe I should reconsider my purchase.

I am currently in the some boat with a 220 combat and to complicate the matter I have a surefire X 300 light. Between the 2 I am coming up empty handed for options. Any ideas?

I sold my recently purchased P229R, which I also had custom worked done on the trigger, because of this issue.

Unfortunately, the new Sigs manufactured in the E2 configuration will not fit holsters that accommodate their older, pre-E2 models due to the difference in slide dimension. The only route to go would be to have a custom holster maker create one for you.

Also forgot to mention that due to the dimensions of the railed receiver along w/ the new slide dimension, the Sigs in the E2 configuration will not fit pre-E2 rail model holsters.

Perfect example is when you try to insert a new P229R in a Galco paddle holster made for the older version P229R, the pistol will not fully seat itself in the holster due to the new dimensions of the weapon.

Just purchased P226 .40 TACOPS and looking to find a thigh holster went to check out BLACKHAWK and it does not fit. Customer service related that they are working on it ask them how long will it be and she replied " I really don't know" need it to qualify in July. Any suggestions????

I too need a good holster for my 226 MK25. I have an iwb one that works but I'd like something better. I do like the hard holsters but would get a leather one if it fit well. I want to carry kind of high rather than right on my belt line.

N8 Squared

http://n82tactical.com/n82store/

These guys make great holsters. Maybe not what some people are looking for, but I have the cheaper "original" model holster for my Kimber and and absolutely love it.

I am intrigued by the "professional" model holster as well, but quite frankly, have been sufficiently satisfied with my other one that I haven't bothered to try it out. That said, Nate (there are two Nates at the company, hence the N8 squared logo) told me that the "professional" model that they have built for the 229 should work fine with the Enhanced Elite (or other E2 models) and that if it didn't, he would gladly take a return.

If I end up purchasing a professional model for my new 229 Enhanced Elite (on the way), I will keep the collective posted as to the fit.

FWIW I recently purchased a p220 Dark Elite and was able to get a holster from DeSantis that fits like a charm.

You might try that.

I just bought an MK Navy and found the same issue at the gun shop trying holsters with little luck, I found the Galco King tuck was very tight but with a little help from my wife's hair dryer I was able to get the Kydex to fit perfectly! I'm going to check some of the other responses for other options as well but the King Tuck will work!
