Randsand -thanks much for the info and double-check. I appreciate it. May have to look at this for the light and optional laser use at the price, since it fits and works well for your SP2022. I got a Ruger SR22 with a Crimson Trace red laser for my wife, and would be curious to see how the green laser works; seems I've read green is more visible. Side note: When a shooter is using sights, I think lasers can be useful training tools to evaluate trigger pull and hand force effects; an observer can watch the laser spot during the firing and observe what it does during the firing action.

Your welcome! Let me know how it goes if you get it... it's a good little laser for the price. And I think your right... I know it helped me to see what happens to the laser while shooting and allowed me to see where to make adjustments.

Here is the link from Sig. I think you will like it.

Same here. CLP-RM is practical, easy to use, light weigth and compact.

These are my pictures.

I use the Sig STL900L laser/light on my Sig P226R E2. They're a lot cheaper than what Sig has them priced at. I think I payed around 130.00. Below is a link:

ITAC makes the same one: (better view of it)

Guide rod laser?

Does any company make a guide rod laser for the sp2022?

Thanks, db

I recently saw the Crimson Trace for SP2022. My concern is to loose some of the grip. You know, like the E2, that nice sandpaper grip that feels so secure to the grip.

Also with the Crimson Trace laser grip, it cost almost as much as the gun.
+1 on the sandpaper feel, I love it.

What I said above is incorrect... The crimson trace for SP2022 is a two piece grip which replaces the actual factory grip. It comes with two screws and has the same grip texture as the factory grips.

New member here, just bought the NcSTAR AQPTFLG based on Randsand's input and pictures. Looking forward to increasing my accuracy next time I hit the range with this baby installed.

Quick question, since it's been about a year since your post, have you experienced any problems with the scope?

TLRs are great. I have a TLR4 also. VERY bright light. What's good is that if you choose to switch to a different home defense weapon later, you can just switch the light to it just as easily.

I had the chance to handle a 2022 with the Crimson Trace Laser Grips installed at the NRA Convention last weekend and now I am glad I didn't go that route. I didn't like the feel compared to the factory grips that I have installed on mine. They do not fit my hand the way I like. But hey, to each their own.

Re: Lasers for SP2022?

My 2022 came with the Sig CPL-RM also. Nothing fancy but not bad. Not too clunky looking. Easy to zero. But the battery screw is VERY easy to strip. The switch comes on very easily - usually when you don't want it to. It isn't the easiest thing to mount and dismount, but once it's on its pretty solid. If I really wanted to carry with a laser I would probably look for something better. By hey, it was free. Can't complain too much.

Hi thriftyscrooge, wow - your right - it has been a long time sense I have been on here. Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you - I had a busy weekend. Yes, I'm still happy with my laser. For the price it's a great deal and it holds up well. I like how you can see the green light during the day. The only thing I have come to dislike about it is that I have to readjust it often because it starts to loose its accuracy after awhile. It's fairly simple to adjust though, so as long as you are aware of that and make the necessary adjustments it should work for you. Lately I have been using it more with the flashlight attachment on it - I keep it that way in my quick draw safe so that if I should encounter an intruder during the night I will be able to see what I am pointing at in the dark. Anyways, hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions and how it goes when you take it out for your test run!
