Lots of options here. Not sure what you're using it for, but the main concern is that it's wide enough and stiff enough to support the weapon and holster you are going to attach to it. I've been using Eagle and Wilderness for a number of years, but there are a bunch to choose from. Just don't skimp. A junk belt will make a good holster junk.

What kind of gun belt are we talking? For range/competition use, everyday, LE?

Shameless plug:

I have a jones tactical EDB Cobra Belt that I would like to get rid of. I got a size too large. With a black buckle and OD webbing. I would be willing to make you a deal if you are interested.

Only downfall is that they come in 1.25 and 1.50 inch only. Great belt.

First off, Congratulations on your prize!!!

As for the gun belt, do you want leather or nylon? Also, what width of belt are you looking for (1.5, 1.75, or 2.25 inches)?

If you are looking for a trouser type belt, make sure it is thick and rigid enough for your holster. If its too thin, the weight of the gun will cause the holster to sag, and if you are on the move, the gun will be flopping around.

The leather belts that I like are: Milt Sparks, RGrizzle, and Bianchi.

Don't waste time anywhere else, go to The Beltman. I have 5 of his belts and they are a great product.

Congrats on your prize SigPro!!

As for the belt, try the link below. Got one for Christmas and have been very pleased with it so far. Heard lots of good things about The Beltman as well.

When I picked up my new gun today, the guy at the store spent a lot of time talking about Galco belts and holsters. He’s gone thru dozens of holsters over the years, and he says his Galco holsters are the only ones he been satisfied with. Got me looking at them, tho they were on my list before, they are at the top of the list now. It was nice that he had a nice full color Galco catalog in the store too. Nicer than browsing the Galco web site.

I've had a 5.11 operator belt for two days now and I really like it. It's a 1 3/4" nylon belt with a solid stainless steel, low profile buckle that has a 6000lb rating (overkill for my uses, but nice none-the-less). It is made of two layers of nylon webbing with a polymer stiffener sandwiched in between. After you run the belt through the buckle, there's also a Velcro locking system.

As a gun belt, I like the width and the stiffness. As a gun belt, and also a casual belt (I'll wear it with jeans and other casual pants, even without a holster), I really like the the custom fit. It seems like I have to wear all my belts with holes either a 1/2" too loose or too tight.

I use the Wilderness Tactical for synthetic, and Tennessee Holster Co. belts for leather. Both work well, but be sure to ***** add about 4 or 5 inches to your normal waist size, when ordering gun belts!!!!! Holsters, mag pouches, etc. take up more belt material than you may believe! I have a 34" waist, and use 38" or 39" gun belts. Good Luck.

Got my belt from Jerry Bowell today and I am impressed! Great quality and REALLY good looking belt. It is stiff and while I have not used it with the holster yet I have no doubts it will hold up Gerry well.

They break-in nicely, keep wearing it and remove it daily.
I put leather conditioner on it to speed up the process!
I'm telling you the best belt- EVER!

I have three Crossbreed gun belts...

and I love them. I can't recommend them enough if you are looking for a leather gun belt.

Jerry makes the best gun belts in America. I've had belts from all of the major players and none compare. "The Beltman" is ok but just doesn't compare to the quality of these belts.

Jerry is an old, retired guy who does this for something to do. He just put up a modest website that he made himself (and it shows.) Order a belt and you will never order anywhere else again.
