Using Promag magazine's

Since I'm still new here and couldn't find a topic about these in the search field. Has anyone using or has used Promag in they're SIG's? I've been reading mixed reviews mostly bad tho that these mags are designed wrong or something that there are feeding issues or they get stuck in the mag well especially the 238. I just recently bought one and still waiting to receive it. I had one for an LCP and it worked fine. I also just bought the 7 round OEM with the extension from CDNN just in case the Promag doesn't work.

some swear by them & some swear at them, i use mecgars or the old school, zipper-backed or dovetailed.

I have been using 3 promags as my range mags for P229. Maybe 500 rounds and no miss feeds.

I find them to be cheap, both in price and performance.

Using Promag magazine's

Hey guys I know I'm new but I've been using the Mec Gar 18 round mags and for the price and reliability these mags are awesome. P.S. midway has had these in stock for awhile now.

They're fine for the range, but I would never trust them for home defense.

I have run mine quite a bit and they have never failed me. I have also heard Mec Gar makes mags for Sig. I'm not 100% sure if its true though they do look close to the same.

Never used them and don't plan to based on all the negative reviews. I'll stick with Mec-Gar made SIG magazines or older JP Sauer & Sohn dovetail/zipperback magazines.

I heard that MecGar is making the OEM mags...fwiw both are "Made in Italy." I have a MG 40SW high cap. It feeds fine, but when there are rounds in it, it gets stuck in the mag well. I'm always on the hunt for ones made in Germany.

I've steered clear of the Promags because most of the reviews I've read aren't very good. I own a couple of the Mec Gar 17 rd. mags for my SP2022 and can say they are very high quality.

I've read a lot more "bad" than "good" on ProMag. One of the things I read the most is problems with them in Sigs is not locking the slide back after last round.

Mec-Gars are good.

I just picked up 2 x Mec Gar 18 Rd mags for a very reasonable price at Brownell's. They seem to be very high quality with a nice fit. Can't wait to get them out to the range.
