I was just wondering what you guys recommend as far as gun safes. I have an old Stack-On that's a bit too small and is a good justification to get an actual safe instead of a cabinet. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I've got a Liberty Lincoln 35. Not cheap and 875 lbs empty. I've had it for a few months and am happy so far. I opted for the dial versus keypad. Original sales person told me 90% of service calls they get are for keypads. For my 54 year old eyes I spent $49.00 more for a black dial with white numbers versus chrome with black. Its a black chrome but MUCH easier to see. Has a chrome bezel which I colored with a black permanent marker and put a white alignment line on, even better now. If it is never tested I'll be happy. I do have to say I ended up going with a safe company almost 200 miles away. Talk to the sales person and describe your house and where the safe will go. If you have stairs ask about if they have all the proper equipment not just manpower. The place I originally tried to buy this safe from showed up with the safe and three goons refused to bring it in. This after showing two hours late then said they weren't told of stairs etc. I paid extra for it! I ended up emailing pictures and measurements to a real safe sales and moving firm and was told NO PROBLEM. Two guys with the right equipment did what that other place wouldn't. It was a little over one hour from the time they parked the truck,k installed the safe and reviewed features and locking procedures till they packed up and left. Anyone in Washington state PM me and I'll tell you who to avoid and who I recommend. Sorry for the rant.
