Question German P226 hammer spring

I bought a 1994 W. German P226 this summer and I am looking into replacing the stock 21lb hammer spring with an 18lb hammer spring to lighten up the DA pull. I first turned to changing out the entire hammer spring assembly (strut, spring, seat), however it seems as though nobody sells the hammer strut (mfg part: hammerstrut6) anymore. Does anyone know where I can find the hammer strut, or even just an 18lb hammer spring that will work with my stock platform?

Thanks!

Wolff might have what you need.

+1 on the Wolff springs. You might want to make the small investment in the "new style" hammer strut with plastic base just to make exchanging them a bit easier. Compressing the spring on the old style strut with the roll pin is a PITA. If you do go new style though, you'll have to either modify the old grips or get some of he newer style ones to accommodate the plastic base. I like the 19 lb springs on classic P Series. Just firm enough but not too tight, and less likelihood of light strikes I'd guess. Good luck!

swolerbear95, welcome to the Forum from the southwestern corner of Indiana.
Firearm Parts & Accessories | Military Surplus | Numrich Gun Parts should have your strut: Hammer strut, short #510460
This should be the one you need.

My suggestion, like SSP said, is to upgrade to the new style mainspring assembly.

Thank you guys so much for the help! I got the mainspring, but now I'm finding it very difficult to find the long style mainspring seat. Any recommendations?

I've checked a ton of sites, and everyone says it's on backorder or out of stock. The part number is mainspring-seat-1
