Twin 1911's

Well I am about to start a project of two matching 1911's. I have been collecting parts for a few months now. I got some overrun/cosmetic blem frames and some overrun slides from Fosters/Caspian. The best I can tell they are overrun SIG 1911 Slides. I could be totally wrong but they resemble them quite a bit. Maybe someone could chime in on this. But anyways, the goal is to have a pair a sweet shooting pistols. The end color scheme is to have a matte black frame and stainless everything else. Not sure how this will turn out but we will see. I see a lot of pre-made 1911's the other way around but not many like that. I only have one picture for now. I will add more when I get a chance and as I progress.

Nice pile of parts! Be sure to post lots more picture as the project progresses.

Can't wait to hear about your progress... I just recently built my first AR. In the future, I would like to build a 1911 style 45.

I need to order or buy some more files to fit the slides. I think I will have some time this weekend to get started on the slide fitment and maybe getting those frames media blasted.
