Weapon Maintenance "tools"

I have been looking for a syringe to apply gun grease with detail without success. Academy Sports (southeast chain) has turkey basters "Smart Cook" brand that I think will work great for 99 cents. Also, in the fishing equipment section I found Ardent brand Reel Kleen Swabs that are foam so no cotton strands are left on the weapon.

Those look like fine ideas.
Just a story: I had a couple wisdom teeth taken out once, and the dental hygienist, before the oral surgery, gave me a syringe with which to irrigate the sockets.
The light went off, and I said, "Hey, would you mind bumming me an extra one of those?"
I put white lithium in mine. Works dandy as candy.

I purchased a syringe that came with white grease in it a couple years ago. I now just refill it with the grease of my choosing. It works great.

A lot of times you can get the oral syringes at the local pharmacy. Just ask your pharmacist for it.

This is sort of a funny thread, as I do the same thing! My son is a doctor, so I get all the syringes I need from him. I have different syringes for different greases as I am a total believer in grease on the slide, barrel and other areas that have constant pressure on them. Of course I do use different greases for summer and winter. One of my favorite greases is Castol wheel bearing grease thinned with Mobile One oil in the winter and straight in the summer.

I am going to find some of the Reel Kleen Swabs......I hate the cotton residue too, LOL! Thanks for the tip!!!!!

+1 I bought a couple for about $1 each and spoon a little grease in as needed from a pint tub. I use a piece of clear tubing I crimped as a cap.
