| Direction for sight removal/replacement?
It's official. SIG people make the WORST YouTube videos evahr!  From what I can tell the SIG sights come out right to left and go in from left to right? One video had some gawdawful death metal soundtrack & the other had mostly silence while the 'smith showed how fast & jerky he could do the job. I gave up.  The mark on my NEW SP2022 is on the left side. No idea why it should come from the factory like that. |

I just replaced the front sight on my P238 from a 6 to a 9. I pushed it out the right side and pushed the 9 in from left to right. I used a 4" long piece of 3/16" square brass key stock for a punch. I soaked the slot with Kroil for a hour before I tapped it out. From the looks of things it wouldn't have mattered which way I went.I held the fully assembled gun in soft jaws in my vice. Jim |
