226e2 grip swap out

Sirsigalot here:
What's up family, need some guidance. I called the boys in blue and asked if I needed to change anything on my Sig 226e2 to put on factory grips and they said no, just pop off the old grips and screw in the new ones. This is my first baby step type project any advice on not f#$$king up on something like screwing a screw into my grip frame.

just don't take 'em too tight, put clear nail polish on the threads.

Sirsigalot here, thanx for the advice. Ever since I got my 229 I've been loving Sig factory grips. Don't get me wrong, love the e2 grips but factory grips seems better.

I replaced my E2 grips on my P229 with the Hogue Rubber grips. I picked up some of the hex screws and like them a lot compared to the factory screws on my 226 SSE.

How did it work out? I am debating on swapping the e2 grips for some hogue G10 or Aluminum ones on my 226. I like the e2 grips on the 229 but feel mixed on the 226.

I put Nills on the X5 Allround, and Hogue wood on the p229. Not hard to do, as noted, caution with over tightening/thread stripping is important, and thread lock.
