Anyway to add (non-sign) laser to P290RS?
I'm intrigued by the P290RS, but am held back by the lack of accessories, namely lasers. The only available laser is the one made by Sig. There are no lasers made by Crimson Trace, Viridian, Lasermax that will fit.
If there was a rail then a non-Sig laser could be attached, but I haven't found anyone making a rail.
Any ideas for attaching a laser, or know whether a rail is available?

terry88, I'm not very familiar with that model, but looking at Sig's advertisement, about their model with the laser, it's described as detachable. Does your pistol have any sort of lug on the dust cover? Does your owners manual have any information? From their photos, on their website I've noticed, sometimes there appears to be a small lug, or short projection on the dust cover. When you try the 360 view, it is not shown. Sig may have some propriety form of locating lug, to attach their laser. For that information, you may have to ask them directly, by contacting Customer Service, and tell them you were thinking of adding the laser to your pistol, but were unsure of how it attached. If there is some type of lug, but not necessarily a picatinny rail. You could get a good gunsmith to fit a short section of picatinny rail to the lug, so you could attach most any type laser available....even one larger than the pistol itself. If there is no lug on the dust cover, a good gunsmith could probably mount a section of rail to the dust cover, but in doing so, you no doubt would void the warranty.

Thanks for responding.
I don't own a 290 but I believe the bump under the slide is a small plug that fills in a hole. The hole is used for mounting the Sig laser.
Like you said, maybe a gunsmith could make a rail to fit with that hole as a mounting location. I will also call Sig and see if they have any ideas.
