Question CLP and the SP2022

This question may have been answered in a previous thread and I apologize if it has. Is breakfree CLP safe for the poly frame of the SP2022? What would be a good way of cleaning the internals of the frame without complete disassembly of the internals? Could you flush them out with CLP? Thanks.

Its perfectly safe on polymer frames, ive used it on my G19 for the past 7 years without any issue and now on my 2022. As far as using it to ''flush out'' your frame it again would be fine but it also ll depends on how you do it. But breakfree clp is perfectly safe

Kenny,
Just an aside: I've been using Ballistol. No problems.

I've used CLP to clean before. So far my frame hasn't dissolved. To clean the insides without disassemble, I just use Q-tips. My current system is clean with Hoppes 9 and lube with Mobil 1

CLP won't hurt it, but keep Powder Blast and Gun Scrubber type cleaners away from polymer.

I've flushed the frame twice on mine after removing the grip with CLP and hung it up outside until it finishes dripping. Then I wipe the excess out with Q-tips and cotton cloths.

I've used this for cleaning polymer frames when I'm in a hurry and can't detail strip a Glock Frame. Birchwood Casey: Maintenance Details

Oil attracts dirt and other fouling from shooting so I wouldn't use oil to flush out a polymer frame.

You're not using oil, your using CLP (CLP= Cleaner, Lubricant, Preservative).

That's why you let it drip outside until it stops, the wipe out the excess. You can only have buildup if you don't clean a weapon thoroughly and/or leave excess.

ymmv.
