Actually, I shot a mag's worth of ammo through one just about two weeks ago. It's super light, even loaded, and the recoil is barely more than a .22. It feels cheap to hold, but it was perfectly comfy in my grip. From what I understand, the pistol make is of great quality but it can experience an unreasonable amount of feed issues because of the cartridge shape. My friend and I ran about three mags through a brand new Five-seveN without any problems. In my opinion it's not worth the price unless you're a collector or you have a special interest in odd cartridges. On average, the ammo costs very near the same as .223 does - about $0.46 per round, or so I'm told. Plus, I'm used to shooting handguns with some weight to them; the Five-seveN definitely threw me off, and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. |

[quote name='txshurricane' timestamp='1311406267' post='9592'] In my opinion it's not worth the price unless you're a collector or you have a special interest in odd cartridges. [/quote I agree with txhurricane's assessment and would also like to add that finding ammo anywhere and everywhere could be more of a challenge then standard pistol calibers. I have looked at the pistol and round as more of a novelty than anything else. Sure it has it's good qualities, but it is one I have never even considered. |

I'm on board with txshurricane & Reliable on this one. I think this one will go the way of the Automag & Desert Eagle. If you are hot for a bottle neck round in a semi-auto pistol, think .357SIG! Now, if Sig-Sauer brings one out..................... JB |

I have to agree with everyone, If the gun wasn't so pricey it may be worth adding to a gun collection.

it looks, um "different". to me, not the sexiest thing. but it holds alot of bullets and it is fairly lightweight, making it practical. I was skeptical about the 5.7x28 round but have seen the big brother P90 catch on very well even with agencies such as US Secret Service. that says something about performance. have heard great things about trajectory, accuracy, and penetrative capabilities. |
