Really soft light will help make it look good in photos.
One easy way is take it outdoors on a cloudy day.

Great old piece they were produced for 95 years and more than two million were made.
It would probably be worth a few dollars had it not been chopped and plated but it will make a nice shooter or BBQ gun.
