New Rem 700 ADL 7mm Mag. ejection issues

Having issues ejecting rounds/casings. Bolt either drops the ejected round back into the chamber, or wants to push the next round up and double feeds. Anyone experience this problem?

GCBHM, sounds as if it could be either your ejector or extractor. Suggest you drive out the ejector pin, and make sure the channel is clear of debris, so the ejector moves freely.
Are these new rounds or reloads, only considering the condition of the rims, as if the extractor doesn't have a tight hold onto the rim, the ejector could push the casing away from the bolt too early. If nothing else, remove your ejector assembly, and using a new cartridge case, see how well the bolt holds onto it, while gently shaking the bolt. If the bolt cannot hold onto the cartridge, then extractor work may be needed.

New rounds, no reloads. I've run three different rounds through it thus far. Two Hornady products and a Remington round. One Hornady is the Custom 154gr SP InterLock offering (age old, tried and true), a new 139gr GMX round. The Remington (actually performed the best of the three) the 150gr Premier-AccuTip bullet. It is rather expensive, but it did perform better than both the Hornady rounds, with the SP Custom coming in last as it were (bummer b/c I wanted to like it best at $40/box). With the Remington round coming in at $67/box, I'll have to make every shot count! LOL I took it back to the range today and it did not produce this issue one time. I cleaned the bolt and inspected the extractor and ejector pin, and both seem to be in good working order. I'm thinking it may just be that the spring is tight and pushing too hard or unevenly causing the next round to pinch the ejected casing/round. Does that sound like a reasonable deduction?

GCBHM, I guess it's possible, that the ejector spring may need to take a set, just as we mention new magazines taking a while to "break in". I don't know if it would help, by getting some dummy rounds and cycle them through the action a few times, or leave one chambered for a while.
I know for years, "Match" Service Rifle competitors, would trim the ejector springs a couple of coils, to prevent "long range" ejection. Remington ejector springs aren't hard to replace, so if your rifle keeps doing it, you may consider getting a new spring, and lopping off a couple of coils, and trying it, to see if it's a remedy.
