AR-15 Pistol Buffer Tube Assy?

Let's not get into the debate about the usefulness of an AR pistol ...just assume I am bored and want to play around with the idea. I already have more AR-15 rifles than I will probably ever shoot.

What is the best design / mfg for an AR pistol buffer tube assy?

Any experience with Gunsmoke Enterprises?

AR-15 2nd Generation Pistol Buffer Recoil Kit.

Phase5? Will they work with a pistol?

Spikes? Is there anything special here, except that some people are willing to pay more $$$ for the name and a cool spider?

YHM, looks like a quality kit with no 'voodoo science' involved. Opinions?

Anything else I should consider?

I have thought about just getting a reasonable quality tube, a flat wound spring and a 5.7oz buffer and go from there.

CatmanIsGod, I cannot comment on which would be the best, but to suggest that which ever one you choose is flexible as per buffer weight. A lot will depend on your chosen barrel length and gas port diameter, what kind of buffer weight you will need to run dependably. Some designs may use a "non-standard", unique buffer.

Good luck with your project!

My 10.5" AR Pistol has a KAK Shockwave Tube and Blade, Spikes T2 Buffer, and Tubb flat coil spring. That's what I liked after looking around.
