Picked up a M&P 2.0 9mm today

Handled one at a LGS last night and really liked the grip and feel of it. Trigger was a lot better too than my old M&P 9

Stopped at another LGS this afternoon and he got a 4 of the 2.0s. 2 of the black 4.25" and 2 of the FDE 5" with a safety
I liked the FDE but don't care for the safety

If you've held the Shield .45 you'll be familiar with the stippling that this grip has. It is aggressive but feels great in your hand. You can get a nice high grip on it thanks to the higher undercut

Trigger is better than the older Smith trigger but not VP9 or PPQ quality. It is acceptable to me and audible reset is nice

Comes with 4 grip sizes, Medium comes installed

Me and another guy bought the 2 black 2.0s within minutes of each other lol

Clean tonight and hopefully shoot at range tomorrow

Very nice, looking forward to following this. I could easily see myself getting one unless the new CZ striker fired gun gets here first.

I read that the safety is just as easily removed as they were in the gen 1s, and even uses the same frame plugs for the gen 1s. I have not seen FDE frame plugs though, only black.

Wow, that is a nice looking pistol and I have been reading a lot of good things about them.

I wonder if they are going to come out with a 15 round compact and a 2.0 version of the M&P 9C.

The 2.0 5" will be one I look forward to shooting at the factory shoot in a few months at my LGS.

Picked up a M&P 2.0 9mm today

Took it to the range last night and was very happy with the results. 200 rounds downrange without a hiccup or stumble.

Recoil is very light, Grip texture really locks your hands in. After 200 rounds I could start to feel the bite of the grip a tad but overall very happy with it. Sort of like putting Tabasco on stuff...you know it's gonna burn but you like the sting lol

Sights line up nicely, no trouble in seeing them at all. I read someone mentioning that on loading a magazine in the original M&P forcefully that the slide would slam shut. On the 2.0 I attempted to make this happen but was unsuccessful. The slide stop is a new 2 piece design so maybe that addresses this issue.

After shooting mostly DA/SA Sigs and CZs the past few months I had to get my striker fire feet wet again. By the end of the session I was pretty much putting them dead on where I was aiming

I like it a lot. For less than 5 bills I think it is a good purchase. Will be interesting putting it up against the CZ P10c when it comes out

It seems all of the FDE ones that have showed up in my area all have the manual safety. Like you, I don't want the safety. Been looking for a different IDPA gun. Just have to decide if I want to wait and try to find the CZ P-10 or go with the M&P.

Thanks for the review.

Looks awesome, I'm looking forward to when they roll out the Performance Center versions of the new 2.0 A 2.0 C.O.R.E. with slide cut for optic would make an amazing range gun, I bet.

2tango2. Can you please explain thaht new slide lock look???

What is that tab that jolts forward on it?

I kinda like the pistol. Just not sold on it.

I mean. Yeah i love the stipple. But i hate how its designed. Looks bad. The swirl/design

And to me ot looks like the palm grips look like the "wings" stick out in middle of grip on all press pics, shots and videos. The older version they always sat nice

Im happy for you tho. Hopefully the trigger is sweet
I do truly dig the original design. Makes we want a full size M&P so bad
