Very nice. Been drooling over these Springfields for a while.

A .30 cal carbine would round out my rifle collection. Don't really care for the AR platform.

sigke, congratulations on your acquisition!
I've loved the platform, since humping a M-14 back in the Corps, in the early '70s.
I've got a full size, and relish the iron sights, the finest ever fielded, in my opinion. But I've wondered about the "Scout" models elevation adjustments given the shorter sight distance.
For the shorter barrel, I went with the AR platform, for the easier use of optics.
You may want to visit the M14 Forum, if you haven't already, as you start "collecting" accessories for your new rifle.

Thank you Willard.
Ya know, I'm just gonna leave her bone stock for the forseeable future.
I dont plan to shoot her over 200 yards anyways.
And the sights are just wonderful. I love em.
Ill be that after about 300 or so rounds, she'll settle right in. Ill get the sights zeroed in and let her roll....

Everyone should at least own one M1A. If I only owned one that would be it. But, I am sick and have four. They are like Sigs addicting. Look up Tony Ben on Youtube. He has a lot of great videos on the M1A and its maintenance.
