Anybody else ripped off by 10 dollar gun club?

I paid for a Sig MCX from 10 dollar gun club back in September. Every few weeks I would check and the website would say it was backordered. This week when I checked, the website and phone were out of service. I'm hoping Barry Rickert, the owner, will make good on the purchase or refund, but I'm worried I just threw away $1,600. Has this happened to anyone else? Were you able to get your money back?

If you paid by Credit card you can file a fraud complaint with the Credit card company . If the website and number are down I would think that there is no intent to refund money or deliver on order.

Best of luck.

I know its not 1600.00 but my wife spent a few hundred with an "Italian" shoe company for some boots and they just kept moving the dates back. Every time she called they said they are on a ship headed this way. Finally they stopped answering the phone. She called discover and they refunded her money even though the original purchase was six months before. Hopefully you can take care of it that way.

I came close to joining the club a year ago for a hot deal they had on a Ruger Precision Rifle I was after. Other than that.... I have no info. I sure hope you aren't left hanging.
I'm not finding anything on the net but questions about them.

Hopefully you used a Credit Card. You can get the charge cancelled as fraud with most. You may spend a day filling out forms, but it is worth it.

Google reviews are all one star with similar stories.

So the scam seems to be you are charged 10 bucks a month for membership.

Then they play this out for as long as they can, and never deliver the goods.

so, did you use a credit card ?

Any members from Northern VA? Their address is 612 Lafayette Blvd #200, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. I'd go see what's up with them, if I were closer. Google shows that they are open 10AM-9PM today.
I agree with the others- something clearly isn't right. I'd contact your credit card company, and possibly the police in Fredericksburg.

In the event you used a Postal Money Order, I think you can contact the U.S. Post Office for assistance. It certainly smells like wire fraud if a Postal Money Order was used. I think with just about any US Mail transfer of funds, you might be able to get their help if you have proof of the mail transfer of funds.

As other stated, get your credit card company to go after a charge back if you used plastic.

I came across that site a year ago. It just didn't feel right so I passed. I hope it works out for you with the credit card company. I would be calling the fraud department asap. File the report over the phone and if they do come through with the gun you can cancel the fraud hold. I did it with B of A awhile ago and it doesn't take that long to take care of it with no paperwork involved. The only problem I can see is if they have closed the card and are gone and it's been so long the transaction has cleared.

Suite #200. Which is now probably empty.
So you pay $10 a month to get what special deals and prices?
Even though Gunbroker is free?

My mom told me if I don't have anything nice to say don't say it.
So I won't.
