Honor Guard Long Slide

I've been in the market for single stack EDC/BUG for awhile now and I think I found my answer. I often carried my girlfriends shield but I was never extremely accurate with it and I wasn't a huge fan of the trigger. I also owned the Glock 43 for a little while but I was even less accurate so I quickly sold it.

In comes the honor guard. I decided to go with the long slide model for a couple reasons. The first being the longer sight radius and the second being that this model has a rail where the normal model does not. I like to have a light on my carry guns so this works out well. I'm currently using the inforce APL but it's a little large for the gun, luckily Inforce is coming out with a more compact version this summer.

300 rounds in and I'm absolutely loving the gun. I've only shot it from 7-10 yards so far but I'm already much more accurate with it than any other subcompact single stack I've tried. I haven't been able to measure the trigger but it doesn't feel as heavy as the shield, the reset could be shorter though. It's a little big for pocket carry but on duty it will be going in a cargo pocket for my BUG.

Crowned barrel
The grip pattern feels great and is aggressive enough to get a nice grip on the gun
Takes Glock 43 sights
Modular like the P320, with a 50% off code I can change the gun to the smaller version for $175

The trigger has a slightly longer reset than I'm used to
The huge logo on the slide
The slide serrations could be a little more functional
The magazines have a little bit of vertical play, hasn't caused any issues yet but it seems weird to me

I bought the short slide (subcompact) model for edc a little while ago. It's actually enjoyable to shoot at the range, unlike my Kel-Tec PF9.

These Honor Guard pistols really are nice pistols.

I bought the sub compact, and recently Honor Defense was offering a $100 discount promo on the long slide conversion, which made it $149 plus shipping, so now I have both sizes. Supposedly they will have other calibers at some point in time, so a 40 conversion may end up at my house too. The fire control unit is very similar to a P320, and I was told by the president that the same company makes both their FCU and Sig's. I can carry it easily in CCW Breakaway pants, or an IWB holster. Really like the manual safety for pants pocket carry.
