Walther PPQ in 9mm?

HI all,

I'm thinking about putting a PPQ on layaway in morning at my LGS. Handled one and it felt great!. This would be my first Walther! I've done some reading and the reviews seem positive with the exception of some about finish issues. Anyone know if this was limited to a certain batch? Also, what kind of warranty does the PPQ have? Any first had reviews (pro and con) are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

They are the bees knees!

I love mine. Full lifetime warranty. There were some VERY isolated problems with finish. I have not heard about anything else in the last month or so.

Oh what a trigger!!

I think I may have responded to you on the Walther forum also??

Here is mine:

Fired at 7 yards offhand about 20 rounds

After owning a P22 I am very cautious about anything Walther, despite knowing that they are a reputable company.

The Walther P22 is made by the parent company Umarex, an airgun manufacturer, - the same outfit that makes the SIG Mosquito.

The Walther P99/PPQ/PPS are made in the Walther facility Ulm Germany where Walther has been making high quality firearms for quite a while. The P99/PPQ/PPS are also German proofed. Buy in confidence.

Thank you for clearing that up - I did not know that. It's important to keep in mind.

i own a PPS and it is the reason my Glocks are collecting dust in the safe, and thats coming from a long time Glock guy who carried one concealed for almost 10 years.
i have only shot a PPQ one time, but it impressed the heck out of me. the most ergonomic double stack pistol ive ever shot, had an amazing trigger, and that showed in the groups i ended up with.
