I'm glad the grip is labeled, otherwise I might have held the barrel by accident.

That is really too bad Springfield sold out, I'm a pretty cynical guy but I'm still sometimes amazed at the short-sighted strategy in so many American companies. I guess they're counting on ignorance to keep sales going.

I've never owned any modern day Springfield stuff, but had a few of their offerings on my radar(pistol & rifle). So much for that.

For all those bashing Springfield Armory, watch this. It may be sincere or it may be damage control. I hope it's the former.

It's attempted damage control. Changes nothing.

Held one at the LGS yesterday. SA controversy aside this is just one awkward feeling gun. Very thin "clunky" feeling grip, so-so trigger, limited capacity with the single stack. Just me personally but if I'm looking to add another single stack to my 232 and 225 it would be a 239 over this.

My wife intended to buy herself one but after the owners of the company showed their true colors Springfield Armory products are dead to us.

Springfield Armory makes a living on the 2nd amendment, so since they sold out people's rights, then they don't need my money!

The XDs is and will remain one of my carry guns...but I am gravely disappointed by what SA did despite their apology and have no interest in future purchases from them.

Kinda' tough because I was considering a 1911 Operator, but may look into a Dan Wesson instead.
