| Do SIG guys and HK fans get along?
I recently posted this to HKPRO and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of responses...I wanted to test the waters here in SIG country and see what folks thought I'm fairly new and LOVE both...in particular the German made pre 2004 sigs. Wondering if advertising this would get me some sort of "blacklist." I'll give it to HK, they've got some SERIOUS brand loyalty...for good reason IMHO. Although I'm honestly a better shoot with my sig p229 sport w compensator than I am w the HK's. That being said the HK p30 is what I keep on the nightstand and my p7 is the preferable CCW...both are better shoots than me, P7 is a fun shooter. I like my 1911's too...I guess what I'm trying to figure out is does it have to be "HK or bust" or is it Kosher to to have a mistress or 3 on the side...Just as long as its not a Glock kidding...sort ofRemember this was geared towards HK folks originally , as mentioned I shoot SIG better than ANY other gun, so I'm obviously a supporter |

I'm a Sig guy, my best friend is split between Sig and HK, and we have a mutual friend who is an HK nut. It's definitely easy to get along. Much easier than it was for PC and Mac users to get along ten years ago. |

unless im missing something then I dont know why their would be any rivalry between the two brands. If there is to be any rivalry with sig owners i would guess its beretta

Both fine firearms. It's just a preference thing one way or the other. I can't stand HK's DA/SA triggers. IMO, they are shit compared to the P Series Sigs DA/SA but the LEM on a HK is pretty damn good and the V1 light LEM is exceptional. |

I'm a Sig guy and my buddy is a HK guy. He shot my P226, and he went out and bought one for himself. He says its all my fault... The rivalry between Sig and HP is like Chevy and Ford or Nikon and Canon... It's all good! |

Dude h&k makes beautiful guns, so let's not hate. Both Sig Sauer and H&K make high level hardware, I respect both. That said I'll probably end up with more sig models than anything else |

I've always preferred the way SIG shoots' HK feels like its built solely around tactical shooting IMHO...but have a place in my heart for both.

| I don't think it's as much a rivelry either...personally Quote:
I was more curious as to the mind set of the HK owners vs sig owners...HK has the perception on only having these rabid die hard fans, sort of like SEC football. I was PLEASANTLY surprised at the level of respect and even love HK folks had for the SIG. I'm still too new to know any better lol

| P226 preferred
I carried a 226 or my Glock on duty until the department purchased H&Ks. I was glad when they got rid of the USPs and bought Glock 22s. Now my EDC is my P239 in 9mm with a 10 round mag. |

The onlyHK I like is the.45 compact. The USPs will not be accepted for trade in at my lgs. No one will buy them a the lgs is stuck with them. That being said my favorite .45 is the SIG is the 245 with the 8 rond mag. Though if I was going to carry a ccw 45 I would carry a G36. Why? If I would have to use it I would rather lose the cheaper G36 than the SIG. My only problem is the 239 is kind of $$ too.
