[QUOTE=LAZY EYED SNIPER;14482]My wife bought me this little PF9 for my birthday this year. It's been 100% reliable outta the box and I've sent 600+ rounds down range with no issues. It's been in my carry rotation for the past few months... Quick question...How big are your hands? And how does this gun feel when shooting? I hear alot of gossip about how peoples wrist's will hurt after shooting only one mag because its so snappy..... |

It is snappy, but WAY more comfortable to shoot than my LCP. I can't get more than a couple mags through that little thing without wanting to throw it down range. I put 100 rounds through the PF9 on my last range trip and was no worse for wear. As far as my hands go I'd say they're pretty average I guess...

My brother in law bought a Ruger LC9 a few months ago, I shot it at christmas and it is a sweet little gun. Just about a pocket gun, really accurate nice little conceal gun. It is a little shorter and a lot thinner and lighter than my P239. You can't shoot +P in the LC9, but take a look at the cost of .380 vs 9mm and I think you will be happy with the LC9

Have you looked into the Ruger SR9c? I know it lists for more than you are really wanting to spend, but it is a sweet pistol. The one i shot was very accurate at much less recoil than i expected for a gun of the size.

For that price range, I'm surprised the Taurus wasn't mentioned. I have several models of them and they all function great. I picked up a PT 709 Slim 9mm that can shoot 2" groups at the 25 yard line all day long! $200.00 brand new on gunbroker. It isn't ammo sensitive and is very light & easy to conceal. The armed guard service that my good friend works for gives a $100.00 voucher toward the purchase of any new Taurus so he picked up a 24/7 chambered in .40S&W and I have personally shot 3" groups with that firearm! It feels good in hand and even looks impressive. All Taurus's firearms come with a lifetime warranty that transfers from one owner to the next. Quite hard to beat, dollar for dollar.

Check out my new Ruger. I ended up paying more than I wanted, although thats why I always start low in case I pay more. It was $425 plus tax, included a cardboard box (cheap), and a gay little pouch (cheap), and one magazine. Took it out with my friends Kel-Tec PF9 (shown below) yesterday. Gotta say, When I first fired his Kel-Tec a few months ago I thought for sure I was going to purchase it, It fits perfect in my hand, shoots straight, lifetime warranty, and its rather nice looking. After shooting my Ruger yesterday I had to fight my friend for the last magazine. This gun is just better made. Its a solid piece, as expected with most Rugers. Only put about 100 rounds through it but I can tell this was a great purchase. I also have two more mags coming in the mail. |
