| Cheap Firearms ...
I was recently looking to get an "affordable" firearm in the next couple of months. I went online to check out some brands such as; Kel-Tec, Taurus, Hi-Point, and Accu-Tek. What im looking for is a small carry pistol, 9mm or lower caliber. Im currently leaning towards a Kel-Tec PF-9, mostly because I know a Kel-Tec owner and he swears by them. Im hoping for some suggestions from anyone who owns, or has owned any of these brands. I know you get what you pay for, but as my friend says about Kel-Tec, "They are a hidden gem"

Besides SIG's, I'm a big fan of Rugers.

Private security, concealed carry, the employer says they will supply ammunition for 9mm, .380, and .32 auto.

Do not know how you feel about old Eastern Block weapons but the CZ-82 is a fine firearm. Czech CZ-82 9x18 Pistol |

after doing my research, and viewing many reviews online, I think I might go with the LC9 by Ruger. Its about $100 more than the Kel-Tec I was looking at, but these two pistols are compared against each other all the time and Ive only seen the Ruger come out on top. Looks like my friend will have to shoot along side a Sig and a Ruger, to his Kel-Tec and OLD Taurus. |

Honestly, go look at the Beretta PX4 Storm subcompact in 9mm. I had one last year for a few months and it is a very sweet gun. The double action/single action is pretty close to a Sig P Series. I was accurate with it from the first magazine, very accurate. Like the SP2022 it's one of the most underrated guns on the market. It's a subcompact sized weapon but it shoots like a full size. Best part is the stock 9mm magz hold 13 rounds. That is a lot of firepower for such a small gun. Also, it has a very nice invention on it, the flip down pinky extension that can be carried flush or extended for range sessions. With the slim levers mounted it's 1.2" wide, relatively light, and is a tack driver. Only reason I don't own one is they don't make it in .357sig, nor a barrel for it. So only 9mm or .40 like many other models on the market today. They are going for $350 on Gunbroker. The last positive thing I can say about it is it really is a one gun solution. It's so small it can be carried concealed very easy and comfortably. Due to the capacity it can double as a HD gun. It takes the larger PX4 magz to increase capacity. And it works great as a range gun, soft shooting and extremely accurate. Good luck. |

I like Kel Tecs quite a bit and carry them daily. I'm actually going to get a PF9 in OD green cerakote as soon as I can find one. Tan is plentiful but the green is harder to come by for whatever reason. The rugers are just knock offs of the Kel tecs, with nicer finish work and brand name.

you know I was really interested in the Bersa, until i saw how you break it down. I think its weird how the barrel is part of the bottom assembly. It is a nice gun, and its pretty....

Many years ago I had a pa63. Paid $95 dollars for it Best plinker I ever had. Compairring the two the feg is a hugo the bersa a bmw. If im not mistaken its thesame setup for a ppk Im trading my pk380 in and p250 combo to help pay for a p226 tactical. Warning if you do get the bersa, you may become a bersaholic. Check out bersachat.com. Not cheap but good value for your investment. Best of luck with whatever you deside on Last edited by Paxmo; 02-04-2012 at 05:05 AM. |

i owned the KelTec 3AT and i currently own a Ruger LCP. the Ruger is a far better pocket gun imo, i kept the one that was 100% reliable, right out of the box. and if a duty gun is what youre looking for, the Ruger P95 is a darn fine gun for under $300 |

I love my little LCP, it's a great shooter and has been 100% in 600 rounds of various FMJ's and 45 federal hydra shok... My plans also include picking up a PF9 for hunting, fishing, and hiking in the next few months. However.com I'm not sure I'd trust my life with one... |
