Gas stations are proving to be some of the deadliest ground in Detroit. Looks like we're not alone.

I guess it's because the "perpetrators" think it's a good place to stage a "carjacking", people out of their cars filling it, with their keys in the ignition... or the idiots filling up with their vehicles running!
Only problem with a gunbattle there, is besides innocent bystanders, you have all of this flammable liquid, and explosive vapor!!!

All that over making "eye contact"? Something tells me there was a lot more going on here, probably gang related, but we will probably never find out. I would love to know the background of the attacker and whether or not he legally owned the pistol.

Sadly this is the kind of stuff the gun haters in Illinois dream about and I am sure will be used to push their anti Second Amendment legislation currently pending.

Cameras and Cell Phones are turning into the worst enemy of bad guys and best evidence for law enforcement.

Looks to me as if the owner of the car only fired one well placed round.
Guy ran off and later died. However what draws suspicion upon the 'victim' is that they also sped off and left the scene?

Tell ya what. It's getting harder and harder to keep an eye out for every single thing around you. You're just forced to have to c/c, etc.

Probably about drugs...Morales must have been out of his mind on drugs to start a gunfight in broad daylight in a Coast Guard High Visibility Jacket right in front of the high tech cameras of a busy BP gas station.

I was getting gas Tuesday at a QuickTrip that is always slammed, and of course has had some incidents. Out of the corner of my eye I was watching a guy with hat and sweatshirt (80 degrees) coming up on me. I turned and made eye contact like I see you guy, and had my thumb under my shirt ready to pull it up. He asked for money then got in a newer car with a girl and left.

Sadly, you have to be aware of your surroundings anywhere you are in public.

I've been trying to figure out how to carry the small Revolver I always carried in My 1998 Firebird in the Door Pocket but in the 2014 Camaro I now have. They refer to it as a Map Pocket and that's about all that will fit in there. O kept a white wash loth over it in My Firebird so You could not see what it was.
